About Us

Founded in 1995 in Orlando, Florida, BlackHägen Design is an end-user research and product development consulting firm supporting consumer, commercial product and medical device markets. Founded by Sean Hägen and Ted Black, BlackHägen Design was created to support clients with the need for product design and development. Philip Remedios joined the company as an additional Principal in 2002, bringing his medical device experience from a leading California product development firm.

In 2005, the firm relocated to the picturesque, seaside town of Dunedin on the north-western edge of the Tampa Bay metro area. In its current location, the studio enjoys the benefits of being strategically positioned in the rapidly developing Central Florida Technology Corridor and Tampa's diverse international community, while enjoying a tropical, coastal lifestyle.
